The 10 Programs of School to Mine aims to empower local Lihirians through a range of opportunities mainly aimed toward:

- Engaging with stakeholders
- Partnering with Local and Provincial Education Authorities through a range of educational programs with Elementary, Primary and Secondary Teachers, Head Teachers and Principals
- Supporting Lihirian School students through Scholarship Programs for both Lihir International School and Flexible Open Distance Education and Academic Support Program with Lihir Secondary School
- A Work Ready Program for Local Lihirians to develop employability skills to support the business through a structured career pathway
- Kisim Save Library – as a resource for schools, employees and community

KISIM SAVE LIBRARY
The Kisim Save Library at STMCI provides accessible, high quality books and resources for reading. The aim of having a Library service is to provide a:
- place for reading and research
- wide selection of reading resources that encourages reading for pleasure
- resource for NML staff
- resource for Lihirian Schools, parents and townsite residents
- resource for all people enrolled in School to Mine Programs
