Netball Carnival – This weekend we welcome students and teachers from OLSH Kavieng to participate in our Netball Carnival. We hope everyone enjoys the friendly competition. Parents, students and wantoks are very welcome to come and cheer on and support our LIS teams and enjoy some great netball action.
Technology / STEM – I am pleased to witness Technology and STEM education moving full steam ahead at LIS. This week saw students in the high school using our sewing machines and our new hospitality facility is finally fitted out with all the equipment. Thanks to Mr Collins who spearheaded this facility. If any parents/carers would like a tour of the facilities, please see Mr Collins.
Independence Day – This year the school will celebrate Independence Day on the last day of school for term 3 – September 15. There will be some special activities and dances to celebrate the day. Please note that this year we will be able to invite parents and the wider community to join us – we encourage all to attend!
School Council – This term’s School Council meeting will on Thursday, the 1st September.
