Dear Parents and Caregivers,

 

Next week, the school will celebrate PNG’s 47th Independence Day. The organising committee has put together an excellent program that will be full of colour and celebrations.

 

ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND THE CELEBRATIONS ON THURSDAY, 15th SEPTEMBER, BEGINNING AT 4PM AT THE SCHOOL.

 

We look forward to seeing everyone at the event.

 

EXAM PREPARATION

 

The countdown is on towards National Exams and our Year 10 and Year 8 students have their regular Saturday morning exam prep at STM campus again this Saturday morning. We acknowledge the work that both students and teachers are putting in to prepare for the exams.

 

Over the holidays, students will have their regular Saturday/Sunday sessions from 8.30-10.30am at the STM Campus with Mr Wengip. During the second week of the holidays, from Monday 26th to Thursday 29th September, there will be exam prep sessions at LIS from 8.30-10.30am, supervised by Ms Yip.

 

SWIMMING CARNIVALS

 

Thanks to all the parents and carers who supported our annual swimming carnival. The students’ enthusiasm and participation was great to see. Thanks to Mr McKeiver and Ms Savitas for facilitating the swimming sessions this term.

 

SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING

 

There will be a School Council Meeting on Thursday, 13th October, commencing at 6.00pm in the year 9/10 classroom. This meeting is for School Council members.
