There are only a few weeks until our students sit for both the Year 10 and Year 8 National exams. The next few weeks (including the holidays) should be a time of focus and preparation for these students. I ask that parents / carers monitor students’ screen time (mobile phones, tablets, TV etc) in the lead up to the exams. Too much screen time can easily distract students during this important preparation period.
Club Logo Competition
Thanks to our P&W, Club Management and NCS for the initiative to hold a competition to design a logo for the new ‘Kibung Cafe’ at the club. Congratulations to first place winner Thyra Laien. We also acknowledge Omega Waho and Aiden Ling who tied for second prize. You can see their entries below.
Covid-Safe Behaviours
Parents and carers are reminded to keep their children at home and seek appropriate medical care if their children display any signs of cold or flu. LIS students are required to wear masks to school each day. Masks will be worn during the day at school and are also to be worn on the way home after school. New masks have been ordered and will be distributed to the students in coming days.
School Photos
School photos were taken last week Friday. Each student will be issued with a class photo in term 4. Any parents or guardians who would like an individual school photo, is asked to let Rachael in the office know by Monday morning September 13.
