Week 9 Term 3 2017
Dear Parents / Carers,
A big thanks to all who were involved in the organisation and preparation of last week’s Independence and 20th Anniversary celebrations. It was a great evening that was enjoyed by all. The organising committee worked tirelessly to ensure that the event ran smoothly. LIPS students participated wholeheartedly, proudly showcasing the variety of cultures found in PNG.
Today the whole school is participating in a tour of the mine. This initiative, spearheaded by School Council chairperson Steve Butt, gives the school community an opportunity to see firsthand the operation that brings us all together on Lihir. Thanks to Steve and Mrs Jenny Thomas for the organisation of the trip.
