Week 5 Term 2 2017

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

This week teachers have continued to work together to improve teaching and learning at our school, through a process of Moderation, in response to Education Queensland’s recommendations from the School Improvement Unit visit in 2016.

The Moderation process involves teachers reviewing the assessment and gradings of other teachers to ensure that all teachers are on the same page and making fair judgements on student assessment tasks.

Moderation is a valuable process that helps teachers by giving honest feedback that ensures all children in the school are assessed in a fair and equitable manner.
