Week 4 Term 4 2016

Dear Parents / Guardians,

The school was privileged to have a visit from Kevin Walters (QLD State of Origin Coach), Alastair Lynch (3 X ALF Premiership Player) and Michael Marum (PNG NRL and Hunters Coach) on Tuesday. Their visit was coordinated by the Newcrest OHS team as part of the Healthy Living Program being rolled out this week. They spoke to the children about healthy living – particularly focusing on eating healthy food, drinking plenty of water and having a good night’s sleep. The LIPS students were very excited to meet the sports identities, with the healthy living message complimenting what is being taught in the LIPS classrooms.
