This week teachers have continued to work together to improve teaching and learning at our school, through a process of observation and feedback, as part of our Assessment for Learning program.
This process involves teachers observing their colleague’s teaching practice and student response to particular areas of this teaching to ensure students are engaged in lesson content that is pitched at the appropriate level of learning.
This week’s lessons focused on our improvement plan priority of Maths Problem Solving. Lihir International Primary School teachers’ willingness to deprivatise their teaching practice and work with each other to observe and give and receive honest feedback ensures learning opportunities for students at our school continue to improve.
