It is hard to believe we are almost at the end of week seven and only have two weeks remaining in a compact term full of learning.
I have been continually impressed with the effort and behaviour of all children throughout the first seven weeks of the term. Every time I enter a classroom I see engaged students doing their best to improve their learning as they take part in well planned and interesting lessons.
While constantly noticing the terrific efforts of students it is clear that all teachers are working hard to ensure children are accessing interesting, challenging and developmentally appropriate learning opportunities. Our staff has put a huge amount of time and effort into their learning plans and mapped the course for learning from the beginning of term one until the end of term four.
This long term planning, complimented by weekly and termly plans, supports students to progress towards Australian Curriculum learning outcomes in a strategic, well-paced manner. This planning also allows for interventions to support children who need extra help in particular learning areas.
At the moment teachers are compiling samples of your child’s work, from all curriculum areas, to include in their term one portfolio folder. These folders will be sent home on Friday 18th of March and this process will be followed by Parent / Teacher Interviews on Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd March.
If you would like to book a time for a Parent / Teacher Interview please see Rose in the front office to reserve your meeting time.
