Lihir International Primary School Staff invite all parents to attend a brief information session with their child’s / children’s teacher on Wednesday 3rd of February.
Please gather in the outside assembly area for an official welcome at 6pm.
Following the welcome all teachers will be conducting information sessions, in their class, from 6:10pm.
Each session will be repeated at 6:35pm for parents who have children in more than one class.
If your family is spread across more than two classes you may need to share resources and compare notes afterwards.
The purpose of Acquaintance Night is for teachers to provide you with a general overview of your child’s class and learning expectations. These sessions are not intended for discussion of individual students.
If you would like to arrange a more in depth discussion with your child’s teacher you are very welcome to negotiate a future meeting time to allow a private meeting focused on your child.
At 6:50pm all families are invited to join us for “Curry Night at LIPS.” Curries will be supplied by NCS and this will provide an opportunity for our school community to share a meal, meet new teachers and families and catch up with returning families following the Christmas break.
